The Springer Quilt is the perfect design for a quick make. This pattern relies on large cuts for a striking effect! These large cuts are perfect for displaying a feature fabric!
The Springer Quilt was inspired by the traditional Crowning Glory block. The Crowning Glory block is typically shown in three colors, but the Springer quilt uses five colors. Adding more colors allows for a more dynamic design.
Because this is such a fast make, it is sure to be your go-to pattern for that last minute baby shower, wedding gift, birthday, or other special occasion!
You can find kits for this quilt from Cutting Bolts, to make the version done by Emily Harmon!
Tester Parade
Join me in celebrating the wonderful work of my pattern testers! They all did a great job of showing off all the ways you can make this pattern!
Emily Harmon
Emily used directional fabrics for her twin size pattern test and did a wonderful job with all of her fabric orientation! Follow Emily on Instagram @harkincquilting! Emily is making kits for this version in her shop, Cutting Bolts!
Zeïba Monod
Zeïba finished her quilt small so that she could donate it to her local children’s hospital. This is a great way to show off the design as a wall hanging by eliminating all borders. Follow Zeïba on Instagram @sew_special_by_zm!
Zsuzsanna Kocsis
Zsuzsanna tested the full size version. I love how she matched the sashing and borders with Color 2 to add a different secondary pattern with the yellow diamonds. You can follow Zsuzsanna on Instagram @sunshineblue_quilts!
Jessica Boose
Jessica used the pattern as a base, and used four color ways to really make it her own! You could copy this idea and use the baby instructions to create four blocks, but the throw size Color 1 (sashing and borders). Follow Jessica on Instagram at @Imperfectquilting.
Kim Miller
Kim used bright, springtime colors to brighten the end of wintertime! Her throw version is a perfect springtime Springer 😉 Follow Kim on Instagram @pearlandcottonquilting
Simone Wallace
I love how Simone used subtle variations in color to really show off the star motif in the pattern! Follow Simone on Instagram @Sewsimonecreations!
Kristen Saffle
I love Kristen’s baby version and the way she used two different colors for the Color 1 used in the blocks and the borders. Follow Kristen on Instagram @sewcialintrovert!
